La Catena Michelson (GIRD) es una estructura geològica de tipus catena de la superfície de la Lluna situada amb el sistema de coordenades planetocèntriques a 4.83 ° de latitud N i -108.17 ° de longitud E. Fa un diàmetre de 450.6 km. El nom va ser fet oficial per la UAI l'any 1979 [1] i pren el nom del cràter proper Michelson, i del Grouppa Izoutcheniïa Reaktivnovo Dvijeniïa (GIRD), laboratori soviètic per al disseny de motors de reacció, en rus: Группа изучения реактивного движения, ГИРД.
