Cercle d'Escriptors Nadius d'Amèrica

El Cercle d'Escriptors Nadius d'Amèrica (en anglès Native Writers' Circle of the Americas, NWCA) és una organització d'escriptors amerindis, sobretot coneguda pels seus premis literaris, que presentava anualment escriptors natius americans en tres categories: Primer Llibre de Poesia, Primer Llibre de Prosa, i Trajectòria. Els premis es voten per escriptors nadius americans, pel que és un dels pocs premis literaris presentats als nadius americans pels nadius americans.^[1]

El Cercle (juntament amb la seva organització germana, el Cercle Retòric d'Escriptors i Narradors Nadius) es va formar a conseqüència del Festival d'Escriptors Nadius "Returning the gift" de 1992, una trobada d'escriptors nadius americans del Canadà, Estats Units, Mèxic i Amèrica Central.^[2] El NWCA manté informació de contacte per als escriptors nadius americans i una col·lecció de literatura indígena americana.^[3] L'organització ha estat allotjada pel departament d'estudis amerindis de la Universitat d'Oklahoma.
