Şefkat Tepe was a Turkish action, military,[3] drama and crime series. The series was set in 1997.
It aired from 2010 to 2014,[4] then continued for a short time as “Sungurlar” which was investigated for links with Fethullah Gülen and ended in 2014.[5] The primary cast included Mert Kılıç, Aslıhan Güner, Dilara Büyükbayraktar and Mehmet Korhan Fırat.[6] It was controversial[7][8][9] and popular.[10]
Some say it portrayed Kurds in Turkey badly.[11] One 2015 academic study said that “In such TV series the armed Kurdish groups and their supporters are portrayed as uncivilised, rural and associated with brutal traits such as forced marriages and honour killings. Although in reality such things happen across the country regardless of ethnicity, some TV series are misleadingly creating an understanding that only associates such events with the Kurds.”[12]

In another TV series called "Şefkat Tepe" and was broadcast on the same TV channel in November, 2010, the stories of the heroic Turkish policemen who were fighting against the terrorists of PKK were given. The contents of this TV series obviously regard the people of the region as stupid people, and it is provocative and anti-Kurdish. The purpose of this TV series called "Şefkat Tepe" is to directly influence the Resolution Process and the policy of Turkey against Syria. Indeed, it was aimed at presenting Turkish policy for Syria as an illegitimate policy. It is one of the better known methods of FETO to try to obtain legitimacy for their operations through media organizations.

The most striking example of exploiting the Prophet is portraying him getting on a truck bed in the form of a light beam on the television show called "Şefkat Tepe" aired on FETO's television channel. However, making pictures and miniatures depicting the Prophet and representing him with light beams are not permissible in our religion under any circumstance.
