- 15 January – A Cameroonian peacekeeper in MINUSCA is killed and five others are injured in an explosion in Mbindale, Lim-Pendé, Central African Republic. [1]
- 4 July – Brenda Biya [fr], the daughter of the incumbent President of Cameroon Paul Biya, announces publicly her same-sex relationship using an image kissing another woman, while same-sex relationship is illegal in Cameroon, punishable by fines and possible prison time.[2]
