Dolenje Laknice (pronounced [dɔˈleːnjɛ ˈlaːknitsɛ]; German: Unterlaknitz[2]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Mokronog-Trebelno in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.[3]

The ruins of Čretež Castle, a castle first mentioned in written documents dating to the 14th century, but evidently dating to at least the 13th century, destroyed by fire in 1770, can be found on a hill above the settlement.[4]
