Dorikithe Dongalu (transl. Thieves, if they are caught) is a 1965 Indian Telugu-language science fiction action film directed by P. Subrahmanyam. It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Jamuna. The music was composed by S. Rajeswara Rao.[1][2] The film was produced by D. L. Narayana on the Chandamama Films banner.
Plot
The movie begins in a city plagued by rising crime rates. Commissioner Prabhakar urges the public to cooperate in fighting crime. Among the city's respected figures are Sudarshanam, Dr. Giridhar, and Lawyer Brahmaiah, who are secretly villains causing chaos with their strength and scientific knowledge.
They attempt to bribe an elderly scientist, Visweswaraiah, but when he refuses, they burn his eyes with acid and kidnap his younger daughter, Anuradha. They also capture Prabhakar's son Sundaram, a renowned scientist studying abroad with their support. The government assigns a courageous secret agent, Nanda Rao, to stop the criminals. Nanda Rao is Prabhakar's son from his first wife, who left when he was young. Visweswaraiah's older daughter, Madhavi, also arrives as a detective, and the two disguise themselves as an elderly couple named Agneyam and Latha.
The villains cause a plane crash with Sundaram's help, and Prabhakar's brother-in-law, Rama Rao, and his family witness it. The villains kill everyone except for their daughter Karuna, who they kidnap. Visweswaraiah and Sundaram continue creating inventions like flying cars, invisible men, and ray guns. Nanda Rao and Madhavi fall in love and uncover the truth about the villains and Sundaram's dark side. Nanda Rao reveals his identity to his father, and they devise a secret mission to capture the villains and rescue Prabhakar. In the end, Nanda Rao defeats the villains, but Sundaram sacrifices himself by blowing up his laboratory. The movie concludes with the government honoring Nanda Rao and Madhavi.
