East European Politics and Societies is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal devoted to politics, histories, cultures, and societies of Europe's post-Communist countries, excluding Russia. The journal's editors-in-chief are James Krapfl (McGill University) and Lavinia Stan (St. Francis Xavier University). It was established in 1986 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.
