Emmanuel Mapunda

Tanzanian Roman Catholic bishop (1935–2019)

Emmanuel A. Mapunda (10 December 1935 – 16 May 2019) was a Tanzanian Roman Catholic prelate. Born in Parangu, Mapunda was ordained to the priesthood in 1965. He was appointed Bishop of Mbinga in 1986, serving until his retirement in 2011, and was subsequently succeeded by John Chrisostom Ndimbo [de].[1]

Mapunda died on 15 May 2019, at the age of 83.[2][3]
