Hjart Island
Island in Antarctica
69°38′S 39°16′E / 69.633°S 39.267°E / -69.633; 39.267Hjart Island is an island lying 4 kilometres (2 nmi) west of the Skallen Hills in the eastern part of Lützow-Holm Bay, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and named Hjartoy (heart island) because of its shape.[1]
