Mario Omar Méndez[1] (11 May 1938 – 1 July 2020) was an Uruguayan footballer. He played in 23 matches for the Uruguay national football team from 1959 and 1968.[2] He participated in the 1962 FIFA World Cup.[3] He was also part of Uruguay's squad for the 1959 South American Championship that took place in Ecuador.[4]
Méndez died in Uruguay on 1 July 2020, at the age of 82.[5]
