Omari 'The Banger' Jones (/ˈmɑːr/ oh-MAR-ee; born November 7, 2002)[1][2] is an American boxer.[3][4] He competed at the 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships, winning the silver medal in the welterweight division.[5]

Background

Omari Jones is from Orlando, FL. Jones grew up practicing multiple martial arts; starting with karate lessons at age 4, followed by boxing at age 8.[6] Coached by his father, Karl Jones, Omari Jones continues to train in Florida, fighting as an amateur boxer. Jones is currently a student at Valencia College in Orlando, Fl.[7]
