Pope, Tennessee

35°37′7″N 87°59′22″W / 35.61861°N 87.98944°W / 35.61861; -87.98944Pope is an unincorporated community in Perry County, Tennessee.[1][2][3] The community hosts a volunteer fire department.[4] A now-closed post office opened in the community in 1886.[5] In the 1950s, a small public school was in operation in the community, though by 1999 the building had fallen into disuse and disrepair.[6][7] Pope is the location of Starbuck Cemetery and Howard’s Chapel.[8]
