Shakespeare (Mercurian crater)
Crater on Mercury
48°06′N 152°18′W / 48.1°N 152.3°W / 48.1; -152.3Shakespeare is a 370 km diameter impact basin in the Shakespeare quadrangle of Mercury, which is named after this crater. It is located at 48.1°N, 152.3°W and is named after playwright William Shakespeare.[1] The crater was first imaged by Mariner 10 in 1974.[2]
