Siedliska, Miechów County

50°22′42″N 20°01′24″E / 50.37833°N 20.02333°E / 50.37833; 20.02333Siedliska [ɕɛdˈlʲiska] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Miechów, within Miechów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north of Miechów and 36 km (22 mi) north of the regional capital Kraków.[1]
History
On March 15, 1943, during the German occupation of Poland, five-member family of Baranek were executed in Siedliska for helping Jews. Also, four Jewish refugees were murdered with them.[2]
