Crater on Mercury
4°07′N 71°40′W / 4.11°N 71.67°W / 4.11; -71.67Tansen is a crater on Mercury. Its name was adopted by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1976. The crater is named for Tansen, Mughal composer from the court of Akbar.[1]
To the southeast of Tansen is the crater Polygnotus, and to the southwest is Boethius.
