James Kevin McGuinness (20 Desember 1894 – 4 Desember 1950)[1] adalah seorang penulis naskah dan produser film Amerika Serikat. Ia menulis untuk 36 film antara 1927 dan 1950. Ia enulis untuk majalah The New Yorker. Ia lahir di Irlandia dan berimigrasi ke New York pada 1904. Ia datang ke Los Angeles pada 1920an pada era film bersuara. Setelah itu, ia berkarya dalam industri film sebagai penulis dan kemudian produser. Ia kemudian menjadi kepala petinggi dan produser eksekutif di Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.[1] Ia meninggal di New York pada 1950 akibat serangan jantung.
