スジョイ・ゴーシュ（Sujoy Ghosh、1966年 5月21日 - ）は、インドのヒンディー語映画で活動する映画監督、映画プロデューサー、脚本家^[1]。代表作には『Jhankaar Beats』『Home Delivery』『アラジン不思議なランプと魔人リングマスター』『女神は二度微笑む』『ドゥルガー〜女神の闘い〜（英語版）』『Badla』がある^[2]^[3]。このほかに『Ahalya』『Anukul』などの短編映画^[4]、『Typewriter』『容疑者X（英語版）』などの配信作品も手掛けている^[5]。

生い立ち

コルカタ出身。ボーワニポール（英語版）で暮らしながらセント・ジェームズ・スクール（英語版）に通学していたが、13歳の時にロンドンに移住している。その後はクイーン・エリザベス・シックス・フォーム・カレッジ（英語版）に進学してAレベルを修了し、マンチェスター大学に進学して工学と経営学の学位を取得した^[6]。卒業後はロイターに就職してメディア部門の南アジア地域の責任者を務めていたが、1999年に退職している^[6]。スジョイ・ゴーシュは心理学者で実業家のヴァイシャーリと結婚し、子供のディヤーは映画監督として活動しており、同じく子供のアグニはラグビー選手として活動した後にリクルーターとして働いている。

キャリア

2003年に『Jhankaar Beats』で監督デビューし、興行的な成功を収めた。続けて製作した『Home Delivery』『アラジン不思議なランプと魔人リングマスター』は興行的に失敗したが、2012年にヴィディヤー・バーランを主演に迎えた『女神は二度微笑む』は批評家から絶賛され、興行的にも大きな成功を収めた^[7]^[8]。2013年にはリトゥポルノ・ゴーシュ（英語版）の『Satyanweshi』では俳優として出演し、主人公ビョームケーシュ・バクシ（英語版）役を演じた^[9]。2016年には『女神は二度微笑む』の精神的続編となる『ドゥルガー〜女神の闘い〜（英語版）』を製作したほか、『Ahalya』『Anukul』などの短編映画も手掛けている^[10]。
