Paramphithoe er en slekt av krepsdyr i Epimeriidae-familien innenfor den relativt store og artsrike underordenen Gammaridea av amfipoder. Gruppens arter er alle bentiske bunndyr med relativt sett små øyne, til forskjell fra de frittsvevende 8planktoniske) og storøyde Hyperiidea-artene.

Gruppens taksonomi

Gruppen har, i likhet med hele Gammaridea-ordenen, gjennomgått en betydelig revisjon av sin systematiske plassering og sammensetning. Taksonomien til krepsdyrene er generelt komplisert og usikker. En moderne oppdatering av systematikken gis nedenfor i lys av 2013-revisjonen med basis i WoRMS-databasen.^[1]
